Our mission is to serve patients who need access to quality health care. Hāmākua-Kohala Health provides high-quality, cost-efficient healthcare to ten thousand people in the North Hawai’i communities. As a community-based health center, we offer comprehensive primary and preventative healthcare to persons of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay or health insurance status.

Community support and monetary donations in all amounts are welcomed and essential to our continued success. Donations to Hamakua-Kohala Health, Inc. are greatly appreciated! We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and your donations are fully tax-deductible. We provide a tax receipt for all donations, and it is our policy to protect the privacy of our donors and their relationship with us.

For the last fifty years, Hāmākua-Kohala Health has provided health care to plantation workers and, later, to the community at large. To date, we offer medical services to ten thousand people in the North Hawaii communities. Many would not have access to medical providers and medications without our services.

Many of our friends and neighbors face barriers to healthcare. While Hamakua-Kohala Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and receives some funds from the Federal Government, we need your continued help to keep Hāmākua-Kohala Health running.

We have outgrown the space available at the clinics in Hamakua and North Kohala and are in need of funds to rebuild our clinics and cover the increasing costs of operations. Your support is key to helping our kupuna, keiki, and young families find vital primary and preventative health care, including substance abuse and mental health services.
